The WAT-AAH! Challenge Results: Colorado (2009)

Cassandra- Snips and Snails- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her family.

The Results...

So the minute when the kids woke up... Carter opened the fridge and said, "WOW! What are these mom? Can I have one?"

Of Course, I told him to take one! He loved it! He loved the design on the front and the cool little blurb of information on the back! My kids loved the and I am sure yours will too!

Rachel-Second Time Around- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her son who is a soda LOVER!

The Set Up...

Well, we never have soda in our house because (thanks to relatives) Tobin has discovered soda and loves it! He goes crazy for it, which is partly why we never have it. So, in order to do this challenge I went and bought a bottle of soda. I honestly thought he would choose the soda, just because he knows what that is and we never have it... I tried it the challenge on four different days.

The Results...

Every time he wanted WAT-AAH! I was shocked! Even after he tasted it, which I also tasted and it just tastes like water, he still wanted it. He loved it! I am so impressed!

Rhea- Mommy 23 Monkeys- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her 3 sons a.k.a "The Monkeys!"

The Set Up...

"I put our WAT-AAH! in the fridge next to some strawberry soda. I’m sneaky like that…

I actually had to tell the boys to get out of the fridge and wait for the drinks to be cold. They wanted them BAD!"

The Results...

After holding them off for about an hour, Mr. A. grabbed his WAT-AAH! He said: “mommy. This just tastes like water. It’s plain. It’s good.

So I took the bottle from him and read the back (which was our favorite part…reading the fun stories on the bottles). Then Mr. A. went around the rest of the day, look at my muscles! I’m STRONG-AAH!!

All three of my boys drank all four bottles of WAT-AAH! in one day. They had a ton of fun doing it, too. This was no boring water, that’s for sure!!"

Monica- Life is Sooo Good...- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her daughter, Penelope.

The Results...

I wasn't the least bit surprised when Penelope reached for WAT-AAH! when I opened up the fridge. I happily filled her sippy up more then once. The bright and fun packaging grabbed her attention first and the fresh taste brought her back for more!

I understand that there are parents out there that can't seem to get their kids to drink "boring, tasteless" water. But with marketing aimed at being more exciting, desirable and cool to today's youth I think kids everywhere will soon be reaching for some WAT-AAH! over those other sugar laden drinks. At least I hope so!

The WAT-AAH! Challenge Results: Illinois (2009)

Tricia- Night Owl Mama- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her daughter. "I'll try anything to get my daughter to grab a water bottle for lunch instead of a sugar loaded drink box that she normally grabs and shoves in her Hello Kitty lunch box every day."

The Set up...

The WAT-AAH! bottles arrived and I put them in fridge to get cold. After school my daughter immediately has to have a after school snack and a juice box or soda. She opened the fridge and...

B: "Hey! What's this?! Waaaaaaaat- Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Where did this come from?"
Me: (I acted like I had no clue what she was talking about.) "Huh?" I yelled back.
B: "This bottle of Wat-aah or water or the bottle with the crazy faced screaming (I can hear her giggling) kid on it" Is this gonna turn my tongue the color of the writing on the bottle?"
Me: "Gosh If I know" I yelled back.
I think they are warm though I just put them in.
B: OH! Okay.

The Results...

The Next morning she was getting her lunch ready for school. I reminded her like I do every morning, "Don't 4get to grab something to drink." She went to the fridge and looked for a few seconds turning around with a a bottle of WAT-AAH! "I can't wait to see what this taste like." She said, as she shoved it in her lunch box.

B: "MOM! You know that bottle of WAT-AAH! I took to school? Well, all the kids saw me drinking it and they all wanted to know what I was drinking and where you got it and how it tasted. They wouldn't leave me alone. It was so funny, because you know what? They thought you made it! And you know what else? It taste like Water"
Me: They thought I made it? That's silly. Taste like plain water?
B: Really, and ya know what else? I think I felt taller after I drank WAT-AAH! I sure like saying Waaaaaaat-aaah mom. Can I have the green bottle when we get home?"

Well beat that! Wat-aah wins over juice and soda pop!!!

The WAT-AAH! Challenge Results: California (2009)

Jazzy- NerdLike- Took The WAT-AAH Challenge. A difficult challenge she thought it might be for both her and her kids, "I am the pickiest water drinker. Though some might say that water all tastes the same, I can guarantee you that it doesn’t; with some tasting thick, sweet, clean and of course….bad. On top of that, my kids aren’t huge water fans either."

The Results...

Everyone in my house loved WAT-AHH! Personally, I liked the Energy, which had a super light and crisp flavor. My husband liked the Brain, which he said reminded him of Figi and the kids each had their favorites as well. Not only did I get them to drink the full bottle but my eldest son asked to take it to school because the bottle was ’so cool’.

The WAT-AAH! Challenge Results: Minnesota (2009)

Jenna- A Mom's Balancing Act- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her daughter. "When Kaelyn was younger, it was much easier to get her to drink water. As she's gotten older, I find it's a struggle to get her to want anything but milk and juice."

The Set Up...

We simply placed the four bottles of WAT-AAH! in our fridge next to regular bottled water, sodas and sugary juices. We let our two year old daughter Kaelyn choose what she wanted to drink.
The Result...

Without a second thought she went straight for the WAT-AAH! I was shocked. She normally would be begging for milk or juice. She immediately grabbed for the "pink" WAT-AAH! saying "ooo...pink".

After taking a drink she said "It's great!" It was wonderful as a mother to see my little girl so thrilled to be drinking water...a beverage that was not an easy one to get her to drink in the past.

Kaelyn is proof, along with the other 1600+ children who have taken the challenge, that the kid-friendly and very appealing WAT-AAH! design, name and logo really does help to encourage kids to drink water over other sugary drinks.

Brianne - Just Trying To Save Money - Took the WAT-AAH! Challenge with her daughters.

The Set up...

With all the choices out there of kids drinks, it is hard to get them to drink more water. Soda, fruit juice, lemonade, punches, flavored water, all filled with sugar and no nutritional value. My girls are pretty good about drinking water but I do tend to see them "like" drinks that have fun catchy logos on them. So when asked to try out WAT-AAH!, my first thought was what a interesting name and such a fun logo!!"

The Results...

"My girls and I tried WAT-AAH! and I was very impressed. It tastes just like water, no funny tastes, just plain, clean water!! But I think the most important thing was that my girls thought the bottle was so cool, making them want me to buy more!"

"They carried that bottle of water around the whole day. They also sported the tattoos around for a few days, as you can see!!"

Challenger # 202, California

Jessica - And Then There Were 4 - Took the WAT-AAH! Challenge with her son.

The Set up...

"Cohen was SO excited when our WAT-AAH! came in the mail! Even the box has the little boy's face screaming on it! :)"

The Results...

"He thought he was so funny! And he didn't even want me to put them in the fridge to cool down! He wanted to drink out of the awesome bottle right then! Of course, I let him! I'd Never say no to drinking water, especially WAT-AAH!"

"Then he was stacking them like bowling pins, knocking them over and cracking up! haha!"

"I DO believe the verdict in our house is that we all love WAT-AAH!"

April- Giveaways 4 Mommy- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her kids.

The Set Up...

I admit, my son will go for a juice pouch or box in a heartbeat but it’s because I don’t often keep bottled water handy. And he very rarely will get it from the tap... I was curious. If I had juice boxes and WAT-AAH! in the fridge for my son to pick from for school snack, which would he pick? I placed both in the usual place in the fridge.

The Results...

The bottle he first grabbed that weekend was Body! Did he grab it over the juice? He did! The real test would be on Monday though. As we were about to walk out the door for school, I reminded him to grab his snack and juice. He went straight to the fridge and grabbed the Energy bottle of WAT-AAH! (as if he needs anymore energy at school…lol!) I asked him after school if he drank it all and he said he had and that all his friends had asked for some. He said it gave them automatic energy and they all LOVED it. :)

If that is what it takes to get my son to grab water over juice, I’ll take it! Tuesday morning he grabbed the Brain bottle because he had some important testing that day and he needed to be smart. I love it!!!

Elizabeth- A moon, worn if it had been a shell- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her boys.

The Set up...

My boys ripped the box open and were delighted by the silly graphics on each plastic bottle, eager to open and try them.

The Results...

Oliver picked the brain bottle, telling me that he thought it might help him with his math problems and Henry, who had the flu, picked the body bottle. I admit that I shy away from water products, but there's something about this company that appeals to me, and if it's affordable and attractive to kids, marketed in a positive fashion, well, then I'm all for it!!

Challenger #192, Texas

Angela- Fab Find Foodie- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her girls.

The Set Up...

My girls did, and I was both shocked and pleased with the results! I put four bottles of WAT-AAH! in my fridge, as well as a bottle of soda and a few juice boxes. Without even a second of hesitation, both of them chose the WAT-AAH! over the soda!

The Results...

They LOVED IT!! What a cool way to get children to drink water!! Matter of fact, we all really enjoyed the WAT-AAH! And it's not flavored!

your sound down just a bit." WATCH THE VIDEO HERE!

Shelley- Shelley's Swag- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her kids.

The Set Up...

I put a bottle of WAT-AAH! in the fridge, next to a can of soda, and waited to see what the kids would choose!

The Results...

Lauren was happy to grab the bottle of WAT-AAH! first!!

My kids are all water drinkers, so as a mom, I am happy to give them as much as they want. And with WAT-AAH!, they are getting so much more! Both the girls said it tasted great and was very refreshing!

Shawn- Shawn's Sharings- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her kids.

The Results...

Our Results 1 to 1 ... One of my children decided to pick the Soda and the Other decided to pick the Wat-aah. I guess it was a TIE in my house. I can say that my child that picked soda later picked the Wat-aah. My son who picked the Wat-aah said it was the "Cool Bottle" that made his decision!

Pam- Frugal Catholic Mommy- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her kids. "I'm lucky that my kids LIKE water and milk as beverages. We don't often have soda or sports drinks around (my kids get enough sugar without DRINKING it, too), but over the holidays we had people over several times and had a couple of bottles of soda in the fridge. I was curious to see what the kids would choose."

The Set Up...

I put the WAT-AAH! in the fridge next to the milk, juice, and soda. Before I even closed the fridge, the kids grabbed a bottle and asked for it. I poured some for each kid into a glass and let our oldest just drink from the bottle.

The Results...

I heard of chorus of "this is GOOD water!" and "this water tastes good--can we have more?". I tried a little, too, and it tasted cold and clean and had none of the aftertaste that our chlorine-laden tap water has. Actually, I tasted nothing, how water SHOULD taste :)

The remaining bottles were in the fridge, but by the next morning, they were gone! Apparently for my four kids, the packaging was indeed irresistable, and they drank it right up. They were also very intrigued by the differing formulas!!

Challenger #187, Oregon

MPuanani- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her kids.

The Results...

The kids got so excited and automatically knew it was for them! They were arguing over who was getting which bottle. They love the the clean, crisp taste and the cool graphics on the
labels and box.

My 6 year old read the labels and enjoyed Energy, we started laughing after he drank his bottle, he started zipping down the hall and came running back and said that he feels more energetic.

Sad to say, they finished the 4 bottles in that one sitting and wanted more.

I love this product and will definitely buy these for my kids!

Challenger #186, South Carolina

Heather- I'd Rather Be Changing Diapers- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her son Connor.

The Results...

My son was very excited about the WAT-AAH! bottles in the fridge. They were bright and colorful. I put them water bottles next to the apple juice he drinks; he immediately picked the WAT-AAH! bottles the first time I opened the fridge for him.

Connor wanted to try a bit of each of the water bottles and settled on the orange one. He is a funny boy. After every sip, he would say "yummm!" I think we have a winner!

Deborah- Baba's Farm Life- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge with her family.

The Results...

They grabbed the WAT-AAH! first!

Maybe because of the neat looking bottles; Maybe because their mom had taught them that drinking water is healthier for them and it stuck. I know they will grab a soda any chance they get, but this time they grabbed the WAT-AAH! first. Kirsten grabbed one right away to have with her dinner. Zach grabbed one to quench his thirst after school.

Everyone enjoyed the refreshing taste!

Challenger #184, Washington

Tina- Mommy PR- Took The WAT-AAH! Challenge as part of their 90 Day Fitness Challenge.
"I have a big caffeine problem with good-ole southern sweet tea!! The problem is that I see my boys following in my footsteps. I took the WAT-AAH! Challenge so I could rid myself of all the nasty toxins that come with caffeinated drinks and show my boys water is a great alternative (THE BEST ALTERNATIVE)."

The Results...

I really liked the taste of them and they helped to keep me hydrated throughout the day. I recently discovered that WAT-AAH! Is located in all Whole Foods Stores, so I will be bugging Angie to make the 30 mile drive with me to replenish my stock!!
