Marybeth Isaac-Momanthology-challenged her kids to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
Marybeth normally doesn't buy plastic bottles unless it's out of necessity. She prefers to use re-usable bottles.
The results...
When Marybeth received the box, the bottles didn't even make it to the fridge!! "My daughters grabbed it and promptly started to pack a lunch. The bottles were much smaller (10oz) than a normal water bottle which is perfect for children's lunches."
"My kids loved the WAT-AAH! more than I expected! There were cute messages on the front of the bottle and viewable through the back which made it fun. I loved the size and I did like that it encouraged my children to drink more water. I would purchase this again for trips or school lunches!"

Tara Christine-Live Laugh Love-challenged her son to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
Christine loves water but her son, not so much. "I believe water tastes the same when it comes out of a water bottle that is, but for some odd reason the WAT-AAH! taste is extra good in some way, like a crisp taste."
The results...
Her son chose the BRAIN WAT-AAH! because he said it was his favorite color! "My son even made the face that the figure is doing on the water bottle with his mouth open which is funny and made me laugh!"
"I was so happy to hear WAT-AAH! gave me the opportunity to review some samples of their water. Although it would have been great to put in my son's school lunch, I just didn't have him in school this time around."

The setup...
Megan placed WAT-AAH! next to milk, juice, and a favorite flavored water.
The results...
Her boys picked WAT-AAH! "Captain thought that it was a funny picture so of course he had to play along!"
"My kids love water anyways but the cute picture and bright writing on these bottles make water look cool! My kids took them in their lunch to school and passed out WAT-AAH! stickers to friends. I hope that this will encourage other parents to pack water rather than some of the other options that I have seen at the school!"

WAT-AAAAAAAH! and after it was picked he then finished off the rest of the bottles!

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: TINA CASE 'PARENT GRAPEVINE'
The setup...
Tina had predicted the outcome of the Challenge before it even started. "My kids have learned through continued reinforcement how to make sound nutrition choices."
Tina had predicted the outcome of the Challenge before it even started. "My kids have learned through continued reinforcement how to make sound nutrition choices."
The results...
"I was very happy to learn that my kids' high schools started offering WAT-AAH! as an option. My daughter, who is a junior, said she sees kids with WAT-AAH! all the time. When you present good options, kids will gravitate toward them. It's a matter of getting school districts and parents involved in the process. My family loves the latest lineup of 10 ounce bottles! They're easy to take along on a picnic or as part of a soccer game snack. These handy little bottles are even small enough to carry in your purse!.. Your kids will feel refreshed and start yelling for more! Remember, it's a choice what you buy at the supermarket. Make the right choice when it comes to drinks!"

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: CARA F '25 HOURS IN A DAY'
WAT-AAH! is not just for kids! We challenged some bloggers in their 20's to taste and review WAT-AAH!
Cara-25 Hours in a Day-isn't a huge fan of water but when she was given the chance to review WAT-AAH!, she didn't back down from the challenge!
"One thing I am constantly told on my quest to be healthy is "drink more water." I don't know what it is, but I don't really like water. I'm snobby about tap water and I hate bottled water. I said, "Sure! Why not! I'm supposed to drink water!" So we were sent some water and I was pleasantly surprised."
Cara says WAT-AAH! is fun to say. "In fact, I refuse to say it without producing a fun accent." She also enjoys the cool shape of the bottle and the colors it comes in! "I was a fan of the hot pink."
"So I tasted the WAT-AAH! and it tasted like water (which is a good thing I would think). Would I choose it again? If it were reasonably priced, I would absolutely choose WAT-AAH! over other brands!"
"I wonder if I had something like this as a kid maybe I wouldn't be so anti-water now!"

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: STEPHANIE JAMISON 'COUPON CLIPPIN' MOMMY'
Stephanie Jamison-Coupon Clippin' Mommy-challenged her son to last year's challenge but decided to take the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge with her daughter this time!
The setup...
"Last year I took the WAT-AAH! Challenge with my son and he really did choose the WAT-AAH! over juice. This year I decided I would test out my daughter. She loves juice and I know it's not great for her to be drinking so much of it. It would be wonderful if we could find a replacement that she enjoyed drinking."
Stephanie loves the small size bottles, "They are perfect for lunches, snacks, and on the go drinks." Did her daughter choose water or juice?

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: DENISE WEI-VITAL 'BOYZ RULE OUR WORLD'
Denise Wei-Vital-Boyz Rule Our World-took the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge with her son!
The setup...
"My son is a big milk and juice drinker. At his last doctor appointment, his doctor suggested that he needs to drink more water. So with this in mind, I decided to place mini WAT-AAH! bottles in the fridge to see what he would choose to pack in his snack bag for school. I placed both Brain and Body bottles in there."
The results...
"I think saying the name and label more appealed to my son. He just screamed WAT-AAH! all morning. He enjoyed it and even packed one for soccer in the weekend. At least now I can get him to enjoy water more and it's an option he wants. As for the challenge, WAT-AAH! has kicked juice and milk's butt big time!"

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: SARAH SCHMUNK 'PS MOM REVIEWS'
Sarah Schmunk-PS Mom Reviews-challenged her son to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
"My son packs his lunch almost every day at school. He usually takes 100% juice or milk. But I knew right away when school started that he wasn't getting enough water while he was away from home. When we got the WAT-AAH! in the mail he was very excited. I don't know what it is about WAT-AAH!, but he's very interested in it. He loves the packaging (and the stickers we got too!).
The results...
"When it came time to pack his lunch, my son was all for picking out which WAT-AAH! he wanted in his lunch that day. With great varieties like Defense, Energy, Power, Brain & Body, Zachariah gets excited that he's doing something good for himself when he packs WAT-AAH! in his lunch each day."

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: ANGIE KNUTSON 'MY FOUR MONKEYS'
Angie Knutson-My Four Monkeys-challenged her kids to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
Angie knew the challenge would be simple. She placed the bottles of WAT-AAH! in the fridge alongside normal drinks.
The results...
"Even though the kids are completely aware that it's water, and most of the time don't care to drink plain water, they fount over the bottles of WAT-AAH! The moment one of them realized the bottles of WAT-AAH! were in the fridge, it was an almost constant barrage of questions as to when they could drink them and who got which bottle."
Angie took a quick video and chatted with the girls about this fun drink!
"Caitlyn is old enough to appreciate the health benefits of water, but the other kiddos are still figuring it out. It was clear at our house, that WAT-AAH! isn't out to trick the kids, simply reiterate what their parents are always trying to get them to see - water is good for them, and it's fun and 'cool' to drink!

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: AMBER EDWARDS 'JADELOUISE DESIGNS'
Amber Edwards-JaeLouise Designs-challenged her kids to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
"As a health conscious mother, I only want what is best for my children; but I also don't want to be a complete tyrant and not allow them agency to make decisions for themselves. Especially with food, as they need to learn now how to make these decisions so when they grow up they can still be healthy even though mom isn't around. Sometimes finding a balance between protecting and helping my children be healthy yet still allowing them the chance to make decisions for themselves can be tricky."
The setup...
"When I heard about the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge, I thought this would be the perfect learning experience to see what my kids would actually choose!"
The results...
"It didn't take my kids long to notice the new "water bottles" in the fridge! They were immediately excited about the look and style of the bottle, the cartoon character and the perfect portion size just for them. And then they noticed the soda. We don't keep soda in the house on a regular basis, so when my sons saw the soda in the fridge next to the WAT-AAH! bottles, they wanted to know what the special occasion was! Haha."
"In the end both of my boys chose the WAT-AAH! drink...they wanted their OWN WAT-AAH! bottle right away. Currently the juice is still being ignored as they continually reach for the WAT-AAH! bottles when they need a drink at home or to take with them!"

"I said there wasn't a special occasion. They could simply have their choice of drink; soda, juice, or the WAT-AAH!. It was a hard choice for them. Usually our biggest problem is that our kids drink too much juice, but when the option of soda and cool new water bottles were there...they didn't even NOTICE the juice! So their hard decision was between the soda (which we rarely have, so they wanted it because it was novelty item) and the new and exciting WAT-AAH! bottles."

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: KACEE TAGTMEYER 'POOPIES, BOOGIES, AND GIGGLES'
Kacee Tagtmeyer-Poopies, Boogies, and Giggles-took the New Back-t0-School WAT-AAH! Challenge with her daughter Kaylie!
"I try to provide my daughter with healthy drink options, but she still loves her juice drinks. So much so, that we have to monitor her drinks at mealtime or she will suck down the drink before she takes one bite of food. We often have to tell her "enough" and make her put her cup donw or take her drink away all together. For the most part, she drinks healthy drinks like milk, water, and a low-sugar vegetable/fruit juice mix. Although, when given the chance, she will choose to drink a high-sugar juice drink or soda."
"So, when I heard that WAT-AAH! was challenging moms to provide kids with WAT-AAH! and other drink options, including juice, I was eager to participate. I wanted to give my daughter a new, healthy drink option made especially for kids."
The setup...
At lunchtime, Kacee and Kaylie to pick out a drink!
The results...
"When she saw the WAT-AAH! she asked me what it was. I told her that it was bottled water just for kids. She got excited to have her very own special drink and then asked me what each one was, so I explained the BODY and BRAIN varieties to her. She picked the WAT-AAH! BODY. I asked her why she picked it and she said because it was her favorite color, pink."
"I was pleasantly surprised when Kaylie drank the whole bottle of WAT-AAH! BODY!! I asked her if she liked it and why, and she said she liked it because it tasted like grapes. My child has a vivid imagination, it tasted like water to me."

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: MELISSA OCHOA 'PURPLE MOMMI'
Melissa Ochoa-Purple Mommi-challenged her kids to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
"I think a lot of kids these days do not drink enough water. I know I never did as a kid. My mother "doesn't like water" so never enforced it on us. When I got older and more health conscious I had to force myself to drink water until eventually it became part of my every day routine. Then when I had kids I made sure that they always got water to drink when they were thirsty. I reserve drinks like juice for meals only. That's not to say my three year old doesn't want juice sometimes over water, I mean he's a kid. The thing is, he will drink water which is something the kids I babysit for rarely do."
"I can tell you though my older children immediately wanted the WAT-AAH! asking me if they were allowed to take them to school. My little ones actually fought over the bottles and they loved the smaller bottles perfect for their cup holders and lunch boxes. That was awesome to see my kids actually wanting water and asking for more."

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: CHRISTINE JENSEN 'OUTNUMBERED 3 TO 1'
Christine Jensen-Outnumbered 3 to 1-challenged her kids to the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge and incorporated it into Fitness Friday, dedicated to hydration!
The setup...
"Our kids are constantly on the move, whether participating in sports or running around the playground at school. Their little bodies need to be hydrated, and many are choosing to drink sugar filled juice drinks and sodas instead of water to provide that hydration. Part of the problem for kids at school is portability. Sodas and juice drinks come in sizes that are easy to fit in a lunch box, whereas water bottles are usually too large. Plus, the packaging is just more fun! (And what kid doesn't want the fun packaging?)"
"Well, WAT-AAH! is here to change things. Water in kid sized (10 oz) bottles, with fun images, and a great name is sure to catch their attention. I know my kids were all anxious to get their hands on one of the bottles sent to us."
The results...
Christine's children make sure to choose WAT-AAH! to stay hydrated!
"We are an active family. My boys participate in soccer and my daughter is a dancer, and hydration is so important for my little athletes. But, each week at the end of their soccer games, they inevitably receive a sugar filled juice drink with a sweet treat (and I have to admit that I have been guilty of this as well). But with these fun bottle designs, kids are sure to love receiving WAT-AAH instead of their sweet drink."

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: ANNE GUSTKE 'UPSTATE RAMBLINGS'
Anne Gustke-Upstate Ramblings-challenged her daughter to the New Back-t0-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
Anne placed the WAT-AAH! in the back of her refrigerator. She knew it wouldn't be much of a challenge because her daughter loves WAT-AAH!
The results...
"As soon as she saw the bottles she grabbed one as she headed out the door to dance class, and said “Good, you bought WAT-AAH! again.” She especially likes to take it to dance class, because all the other dancers like the bottle and always comment on it."
"Of course my daughter wouldn’t dream of taking a sugary drink to her dance class, since her teachers would be sure to notice and comment on it. So I was pleased to see my son also grabbed a bottle when he was heading out for his Boy Scout meeting. He likes fruit juice more than my daughter and is always quick to reach for it when it is available. Both kids like the new small size, and it is much easier to carry and pack when you are on the go!"

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: TERRA HECK 'HECK OF A BUNCH'
Terra Heck-Heck of a Bunch-took the first WAT-AAH! Challenge, but this time Terra is back to take the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge again and see if her kids choose WAT-AAH!
The setup...
"I put the WAT-AAH! in the fridge without telling the kids, to see if they would take notice. They do drink water but they, as well as I, are guilty of reaching for a sugary drink. I put the two varieties, Brain and Body, each in a separate shelf on the fridge. I didn't put them up front because I wanted to test how long it would take the kids to find the waters. It didn't take long!"
The results...
"My son, Logan, was the first one to take notice of the bottles in the fridge. He immediately grabbed one up and inquired if it was the same WAT-AAH! that we've tried before. I replied that it was but just in a smaller bottle."

He just knew that the water was working on his brain and making him into a genius. He wanted to know how soon we could purchase more. The WAT-AAH! Brain has kid-friendly electrolytes."
"I can see how it appeals to kids. Heck, it even appeals to me. The packaging and catchy phrases make it seem like kids are drinking something fun, not something they have to have. As for the challenge, the theory was proven in my household when the boys went straight to the WAT-AAH! and drank it up."

"My little guy rarely asks for water and today he asked for a bottle of WAT-AAH! to be placed in his snack pack so that he could show his friends. He giggled the whole time I packed his bag! That caused my oldest to laugh and he wanted one, too. Who would have thought that a simple name change and eye catching label would help my kids get more water in their bodies!"

THE NEW BACK-TO-SCHOOL WAT-AAH! CHALLENGE RESULT: KELLY MALINOWSKY 'BETWEEN THE LINES'
Kelly Malinowsky-Between the Lines-challenged her daughters with the New Back-to-School WAT-AAH! Challenge!
The setup...
"Last week, I presented my girls with the WAT-AAH! Back-to-School Challenge. In this challenge, parents and teachers were suppose to offer their children the choices between various drinks for their lunch box. WAT-AAH! was interested in what kids would choose given the choice. I didn't tell my girls that there was a challenge because I wanted to get their honest choice. I had a row of juice boxes, sodas, WAT-AAH! bottles, and regular water bottles lined in the refrigerator."
The results...
"Given the direction to go pick something for the lunch boxes, the girls both chose WAT-AAH!. My oldest chose the Brain bottle and my youngest chose the Body bottle. Since they had only seen these bottle on the computer screen before, they were very excited to give them a try."
"I wondered if they only chose the WAT-AAH! because it was something new, so I let them choose again the next next day and they both chose the WAT-AAH! again."
"They are happy to have the cool, refreshing WAT-AAH! for their lunch and I am happy that their bodies are getting what it needs without the added sugar and other junk that most drinks have."
